How we use cookies
Last updated 31 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website keeps in your browser. We use only our own, only for the purposes below. We use no advertising cookies, and we let no one else place cookies through our site.
Essential, always on
Without these the site cannot do its job.
Remembering your cookie choice
Stored for: 6 months
So we do not ask you the same question on every page.
Counting one tap as one click
A short-lived cookie set when you use a “Book on …” button, so that tapping it more than once still counts as the single visit it was. It holds a random number and nothing about you.
Remembering the language you read in
Stored for: 1 year
So the site opens in the language you chose, instead of guessing from your browser. It holds only the word "ar" or "en".
Remembering not to ask you for a review
Stored for: 1 year
If you choose “Don't ask me again”, or send a review of a booking site, your browser remembers it, so we do not ask you again. It holds only dates, and the names of the booking sites you reviewed. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Leaving our own team out of the counts
Stored for: 1 year
Set only in the browsers of our own team, when they choose it, so that checking the site is not counted as a guest visit. Guests never receive it.
Analytics, only if you agree
These are your choice. Decline and they are never set. Accept and you can remove them whenever you like.
Seeing a visit as one journey
Stored for: up to 1 year
A random id that lets a search, a hotel page and a click through to a platform be counted as one visit rather than three strangers. It is how we learn which hotels and cities people are looking for. It carries no name, email or address, and we do not use it to work out who you are. What it records is kept for 14 months, then deleted.
Noting once where a visit came from
Stored for: until you close the tab
A small mark in your browser, so that the link or site that brought you is recorded only once for each tab. It holds nothing about you, it stays in your browser, and it is deleted when you close the tab or withdraw your permission.
What we do not do
No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no third-party analytics tools. We do not sell or share this data, and we ask for a name only if you choose to write a review.
Counting visits needs no cookie
We count how many pages are opened each day, for everyone, without any cookie. Nothing is stored in your browser for it. The privacy page explains what the count holds.
When you go on to a booking platform
We record that the visit went there, and we add a tag to the link so the platform can see it came from us. From that point you are on their site, under their own cookie policy, which we do not control.
Changing your mind
Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing your permission deletes the analytics id straight away, so you do not have to wait for it to expire. You can also clear this site's cookies in your browser at any time.
