How booking works here
We are a search site, not a booking site. Here is exactly what happens between your search and your room.
One hotel, every platform we know of
A hotel's page gathers every booking platform we have found it on, each with its own price, in its own currency. That is the whole point of this site: the same hotel side by side, instead of four open tabs.
Prices are as published
A price here is what the platform showed the last time we read their listing. We never add a fee and never round a number. If a platform publishes two currencies, we show both as they gave them.
Why booking dates are optional
We do not have live data on which rooms are free. So we do not require booking dates in the search, so it never looks as if we checked availability. You choose your stay dates on the booking platform, and it confirms what is free.
Instant and not instant confirmation
Booking platforms in Syria work in different ways. On most of them confirmation is not instant: you get it after the room is checked with the hotel. When a booking option confirms at once, it shows “Instant confirmation”. Each booking platform’s page explains how it confirms.
What pressing “Book on …” does
It takes you to that platform's page for that hotel, with a tag on the link so the platform knows the visit came from us. That tag is how we are paid. You pay the platform, never us.
What we never do
We never invent availability, never show a price as fresher than it is, and never move a hotel up the list because its platform pays more.
Reviews of booking sites
Guests can write a review of the booking site they used. A review is about the booking, the confirmation, payment and customer service. We check every review before it appears. A booking site's page shows the average score once 3 reviews are published, and hotel pages show it beside the site's booking options once 10 reviews are published. A booking site can reply to a review. Its reply appears under the review with the site's name, and we do not check a reply before it appears. We cannot confirm that a writer booked. Booking sites pay us when a guest presses “Book on …”, and that never changes which reviews we publish or remove. A booking site may ask its customers to write a review, but it must ask all of them, not only the happy ones, and never offer anything in return. These reviews are about booking, not about the hotel. A hotel's rating is a different thing, and it comes from the booking sites that list the hotel.
