About this hotel
Agenor was the house of a doctor of Austrian origin and later the seat of the Austrian Empire’s consulate, which is why it is still called the House of the Austrian. It was first renovated in 1870 and restored again in 2010, and its original floor tiles were kept both times. An orange tree has grown in the courtyard since the nineteenth century. The five-star hotel is in Bab Touma, with 12 rooms and suites over three levels, each named after a Damascene rose such as jasmine or chrysanthemum.
