Beit Al Wali is made of three old Arab houses opened onto one another, parts of them dating to the eighteenth century. The five-star heritage hotel is in Old Damascus, on Straight Street near Bab Sharqi, and it kept its liwan, its decorated doors, its Roman columns and its courtyard fountain when it was converted. There are 29 rooms and suites over six levels, from deluxe and executive rooms up to junior, diplomatic, presidential and royal suites. Each has a modern bathroom, air conditioning, wireless internet, a safe, satellite TV and a mini-fridge. The hotel has a restaurant, a cafe and a hall for private events, and it arranges laundry, airport transfers, sightseeing tours and car hire.
