About this hotel

Seven Gates opened in 1978, and its architecture borrows forms from Syria’s archaeological sites, with the swimming pool and the theatre built in a Roman style. The five-star hotel has 220 rooms and 440 beds at Umayyad Square in Al-Maliki, Damascus. Rooms follow the old Damascene style, as does the presidential suite, and there is a diplomatic suite and a conference hall. Guests have seven restaurants, a coffee shop, a swimming pool, a sports centre, a spa, a tennis court, a barber and a business centre.
